For today’s writing prompt, we’re pulling inspiration from Maya Angelou:
“I'm considered wise, and sometimes I see myself as knowing. Most of the time, I see myself as wanting to know. And I see myself as a very interested person. I've never been bored in my life.”
—Maya Angelou
Choose your archetype and use this writing prompt in the following ways (or get creative and let the prompt guide you!):
The Hesitater: What do you know? What do you want to know? How can you use what you know to get what you want to know?
The Teacher: Teach us why it is important to analyze what you already know in order to achieve what you want to know.
The Spiller: How do you handle boredom? Does boredom lead you towards any bad habits? What efforts are you taking to keep the boredom away?
The Skipper: Do some research. Find out where and in what context Maya Angelou provided the above quote. Write about it.
The Artist: Try out a braided essay. Do a little research into Maya Angelou’s (or someone else. Get creative!) career and achievements and braid in little bits and pieces of your self and your wants.
