I'm a teacher hesitater! Very interesting article, thank you ❤️

Is it possible to be three? I think I am a spiller at heart, with a career background that brings out the skipper. But, I can also be a hesitater m--still feeling somewhat new to creative writing. Perhaps this explains my Substack identity struggles!

You can be a spiller and a skipper, for sure. You’re probably not a true Hesitater if you’re doing your career writing without hesitation, but all of us can have some hesitation when it comes to a new kind of writing.

Loved the post. Can relate to both the teacher and spiller but maybe that’s because it’s early days

Such a fun post. Fellow teacher here with a vein of spiller

I'm everything but the skipper.

So, I am just all in on the project. Not for money, not for art, not even for teaching… just because that is what the project needs. I feel

called to thing, and then I am all in. Total immersion. I let the process have sway.

I’d have to know you a little better—but this is often a hallmark of an Artist writer. They sometimes tend to work on one project at a time, until it’s done. No matter how long it takes.
