“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”
― Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture
Randy Pausch has a deeply sad story. You’ve probably heard it, even if you can’t place his name. A professor at Carnegie Mellon University, Paush was diagnosed in his mid-40s with pancreatic cancer and died less than two years later. Before his death, he gave a lecture at the university t hat went wildly viral, lead to a major book deal, and profoundly changed the end of Pausch’s life.
He used the end of his life to inspire millions of people. That inspiration has continued for more than ten years. Nearly 20 million people have watched the Youtube Video of his speech.
