The Art of Making Perfect New Year’s Resolutions
It all starts with finding your central need for the year.

Oh, man. I love making my New Year’s resolutions. There’s just something about having a whole fresh new year ahead of you — a whole year where anything is possible — that makes me so happy.
It doesn’t matter what’s going on in my life in late December, (and trust me, I’ve had some doozy late Decembers) January always shines like a beacon reminding me that things can get better. That there’s always something that I can do.
You’d think that someone who loves resolutions as much as I do would spend New Year’s Eve making her list — but I always start a few days before that. Today, actually. December 28.
That way, I have a few days to sit with my ideas and tweak them.
I’m told you. I take this resolution thing seriously.
It isn’t that I always make resolutions and stick to them without fail. I’m not a machine, after all. But making the right resolutions has guided me over the years and it’s really changed my life.
