I sent out an email this morning, letting Ninja Writers know that it’s my favorite time of year. Time for The Plotting Workshop!
I’m not kidding. I love plotting. It makes me so happy. I love this workshop because I get to hear about their stories. I love stories more than anything. And I love teaching this particular part of writing the most. It’s just the most fun.

But also, I love plotting my own books.
When Ninja Writers does The Plotting Workshop in September and October, I plot my own book out loud right along with them, so they can see how I do it.
For me, it’s big, big fun. Because when I’m done, I know that I have an idea that will hold up a whole novel. And I have a roadmap that will take me through that story. And for them, they get to see a published author behind the scenes.
I got a response to that email this morning that I decided I’d address in a blog post because I get this response every single time. And for every person brave enough to say it out loud, I’m sure there’s a bunch of lovely pantsers too polite to say to me.
