Thank you for sharing! I look forward to one day living in a house where i can set up my own dopamine room. I want a library full of books and all the things that make me happy too!
I always find it interesting the differences between ADHD'ers. I don't do great with silence but I have to use music, if it has people talking, I can't tune it out enough. If I write in public I need my headphones.
Got to have a pace for writing, and for most folks, it's different. I have a friend who works from a laptop in a coffee shop. Nothing else works for him. I have my inner sanctum. I'm also thinking of the one who starts everything in longhand.
Congratulations on figuring out what works best for you and making the most of it.
I guess you have a supportive family because you didn’t mention that. Having a spouse who doesn’t understand fully that you need distractions while writing and doesn’t chide you for “goofing” off is imperative. As empty nesters, mines around all the time and it is the biggest inhibiting factor to my writing.
I do have a supportive family. My husband struggles to see writing as ‘work,’ but he tries (usually.) I’ll think about this and write my thoughts. Thank you for the idea.

Reading this, I thought what an excellent resource for my ADHD family and friends. I am going to send them links.

It can really suck when you’d rather be writing or painting and he wants company to watch TV and then barely pays attention. Aarrrrgggg
Hi Shaunta! Thanks for sharing this pic. Was Alcott's desk that little white table or the brown one on the far right?
The little round white table under the windows. Her dad made it for her :)
