I’m hosting a live chat on Zoom Friday, November 1.
It’s all about creating an editorial plan for yourself. I’m pretty excited about this. I’ve been working on a comprehensive worksheet — not the kind you can dash off in fifteen minutes. The kind that will take you a couple of days to really dig into — but when you’re done, you’ll have a good idea of a few things.
What your goals are.
What resources you already have.
What resources you need to develop.
What you should be doing now to work toward your goals.
What you should add to your plan in the next few months.
What should you really be writing about? Do you need a publication? Should you be writing for other people’s publications? Do you need an email list, really? What exactly is involved in building a platform and do you need one of those? How do you balance writing a book with writing a blog? How do you start earning some money with your writing if you want to phase out your day job?
All of those questions are addressed in your editorial plan. But if you don’t know how to create one, then it can be overwhelmingly confusing to even think about having a writing career.
I’d love to see you on my live chat Friday. It’s for Ninja Writers Club members. You can check out the club here.
If you’re already a member, you’re all set.
If you’d like to join, use the code FIRSTMONTH5 to get the first month for $5. You’ll get that call, plus everything else we have planned for November (which is a lot, because NaNoWriMo!)
I’m especially excited about some guest speakers we have lined up in November — including Tim Denning, Ayodeji Awosika, and Zulie Rane.
Click through to see our whole calendar for the month — and don’t forget to use the code to get access to all of it (don’t worry, we’ll send out replays if you can’t be there live!) for $5.
