Philip K. Dick (Source)
“There will come a time when it isn’t ‘They’re spying on me through my phone’ anymore. Eventually, it will be ‘My phone is spying on me’.”
— Philip K. Dick
I went looking for a Philip K. Dick quote today, because I’m finally catching up on The Man in the High Castle.
First of all — the show is spectacular. I’m not sure why I watched the first season and then just let the others get away from me. I’ve actually watched the first season twice, because I watched it again in anticipation of catching up, then didn’t.
I think maybe it’s because the first season is so good and feels so complete that I just didn’t go back. Either way, I’m kind of excited to have three full seasons to binge now.
This quote caught my eye because it seems so true, in the most terrifying way. It’s always a little scary when someone predicts the future so accurately. Dick died in 1982 — so this quote is more than thirty years old.
