How to Set Goals in a Time of Crisis (And Why You Should Bother)
A roadmap is almost always a good thing to have.

A few months ago, back when the word ‘normal’ meant something, I made a commitment to have a one-on-one call with each of my workshop students in March. So, in the past 30 days, while the world has unraveled in crisis, I’ve had one hundred half hour phone calls with writers.
The purpose of those phone calls was goal setting. We’ll talk again in 90 days, so my aim was to help those writers set a goal to complete in that time.
As a result, I’ve had a surprise masterclass in crisis goal setting. And, specifically, with helping people figure out why goals still matter right now. Why their creative work still matters right now. And how to encourage people to find the bandwidth to do that work when their entire world is reinventing itself every few days.
I thought it might be useful to you to learn what I’ve learned.
