Episode 3 of the Serial Killers (a Serial Fiction Project) is LIVE!
It's time to get to know Zach's story.
Episode 3 of the Serial Killers (A Serial Fiction Project) — a new series experimenting with writing and publishing serialized fiction here on Substack — is live!
New episodes will be released exclusively through The Write Brain every Sunday!
We’ll release the first five episodes before placing these calls behind our paywall. If you’re enjoying them, be sure to subscribe so you don’t lose access.
Here’s the flow for these sessions: we’ll always start with some accountability. We’ll talk about what we’ve worked on this week and anything we might be stuck on.
After check-in, one of us will be in the hot seat! That person will read an excerpt of their story for feedback from the rest of the group and then Shaunta will edit the excerpt live.
Writers watching can learn as we do via writing, editing, and publishing!
In episode 3 we talked about how our Substacks are doing, naming some of our projects, and even did a little cover creation. Zach Payne was in the hot seat!
Zach Payne shares with us his brand new serial project, The Queen’s Peculiars — a high fantasy story we know you’ll love! (Under a crown warrant, a ragtag band of warriors investigate murder, treason, and other crimes of intrigue.)
Follow Zach Payne on his own Substack to keep up with his serial fiction journey.
